This year, SIGMOBILE is holding elections for new officers -- for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer -- and voting is now open. The term of the elected officers will run from 1 July 2009 through 30 June 2011.

The deadline for submitting your vote is 12:00 noon US Eastern Time on Monday, June 15, 2009.

Election Procedures:

  • Each member of SIGMOBILE should have received email on April 30 from Election Services Corporation, which is conducting the 2009 ACM SIG Elections on behalf of ACM and SIGMOBILE. You will need the unique 10-digit PIN included in this message. The Subject line of the email message was "ACM SIG 2009 Election". (If you are a member of more than one SIG holding elections this year, you should have received a separate email message and PIN for each SIG election.)

  • To vote, go to the official 2009 ACM SIG Elections site and follow the link to the voting site operated by Election Services Corporation. In addition to your PIN from the email message, you will need your 7-digit ACM/SIG Member Number to log in to the secure voting site. If you do not know your member number, there will be a link on the voting site that will enable you to access this information. For additional help, please visit the help screen on the log-in page by clicking on the "Help" button.

  • Enter your 7-digit ACM/SIG Member Number to reach the menu of active SIG elections that you are eligible to vote in.

  • In that on-line menu of SIG elections, select the link for "SIGMOBILE".

  • Enter the 10-digit unique PIN for the SIGMOBILE election that you should have received in the email from Election Services Corporation.

  • Follow the on-line voting instructions there.
You are encouraged to participate in this election. Please note that 12:00 noon US Eastern Time on Monday, June 15, 2009, is the deadline for submitting your vote. It is important that the voices of ALL members be heard.
