MobiHoc 2006, the Seventh ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and Computing, is the seventh of a series of annual meetings sponsored by ACM SIGMOBILE, focusing on the latest research in the rapidly growing area of mobile ad hoc networking and computing.
MobiHoc 2006 will include a highly selective technical program, as well as hands-on research demonstrations, keynote, panel, and tutorials. Papers, posters and demos will cover topics in mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, wireless mesh networks, and ad hoc computing systems.
The first MobiHoc was held in 2000 in Boston, Massachusetts, as a workshop affiliated with the MobiCom conference also sponsored by SIGMOBILE. Since then, MobiHoc has become a separate symposium, held in 2001 at Long Beach, California, in 2002 at Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2003 at Annapolis, Maryland, in 2004 at Tokyo, Japan, in 2005 at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. MobiHoc 2006 will be held from May 22-25, 2006 in Florence, Italy, at the Convitto della Calza, an ancient monastery recently renovated and transformed in a meeting center: a great venue for a great symposium!
