Call For Posters
MobiSys 2026 continues the tradition of seeking proposals for posters describing novel work not published before on mobile systems, applications, and services. Posters will be presented during a specially designated session of the conference. The poster session is meant to introduce new or ongoing work and provide opportunities for authors to interact directly with conference attendees. Posters are especially suited for presenting controversial research directions that may generate discussion, or promising ideas not yet validated through extensive evaluation.
The selection of posters will be based on a short abstract, evaluated in terms of technical merit, innovation, and the potential to stimulate interesting discussions and exchange of ideas at the conference. The accepted extended abstracts will be posted on the official conference website and included in the conference proceedings and the ACM Digital Library. At least one author of an accepted poster must register for the conference and present the poster in person.
Poster Submission Guidelines
- Poster submissions must include an extended abstract no longer than two 8.5x11-inch pages, including all figures and references.
- The extended abstract should use the same LaTeX template as full ACM MobiSys 2026 papers; it should be formatted in two columns, single-spaced, and with a font no smaller than 10-point.

- Easels will be provided at the conference for 3x4 feet posters (approximately 0.75x1.0 meters), and the posters should be sized appropriately. Specifically, posters should be of A0 size (841 x 1189 mm / 33.1 x 46.8 in).
- Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format and should be submitted through the following URL – https://mobisys26posters.hotcrp.com.
- Submissions need not to be anonymized.
Open Access Publishing Model [New to 2026 ACM Conferences]
Starting January 1, 2026, ACM will fully transition to Open Access. All ACM publications, including those from ACM-sponsored conferences, will be 100% Open Access. Authors will have two primary options for publishing Open Access articles with ACM: the ACM Open institutional model or by paying Article Processing Charges (APCs). With over 1,800 institutions already part of ACM Open, the majority of ACM-sponsored conference papers will not require APCs from authors or conferences (currently, around 70-75%).
Authors from institutions not participating in ACM Open will need to pay an APC to publish their papers, unless they qualify for a financial or discretionary waiver. To determine whether an APC applies to your article, please consult the list of participating institutions in ACM Open and review the ACM APC Waivers and Discounts Policy. Keep in mind that waivers are rare and are granted based on specific criteria set by ACM.
Understanding that this change could present financial challenges, ACM has approved a temporary subsidy for 2026 to ease the transition and allow more time for institutions to join ACM Open. The subsidy will offer:
- $250 APC for ACM/SIG members
- $350 APC for non-members
This represents a 65% discount, funded directly by ACM. Authors are encouraged to help advocate for their institutions to join ACM Open during this transition period.
This temporary subsidized pricing will apply to all conferences scheduled for 2026.
Best Poster Award
All poster submissions will be considered for the Best Poster Award. An independent review committee will select the winners at the conference.
