Call for Workshop Proposals

ACM MobiHoc 2026, the 27th International Symposium on Theory, Algorithmic Foundations, and Protocol Design for Mobile Networks and Mobile Computing, will be held in Tokyo, Japan, November 23-26, 2026. MobiHoc is a premier international symposium dedicated to addressing fundamental challenges in dynamic networks and mobile computing.

In addition to the main technical program, the conference will feature a set of workshops. The goal of these workshops is to bring together recent research on focused topics of interest and to provide a forum for authors to present early-stage or exploratory results. We seek workshop proposals that can assemble a high-quality program consisting of contributed and/or invited papers, and that encourage the presentation of novel ideas in a setting less formal than that of the main conference.

We invite proposals from both individuals and teams interested in organizing strong workshops on any topic related to the core themes of MobiHoc. Preference will be given to workshops addressing emerging topics in networking and mobile computing.

Workshop proposals should include the following information:

  1. Title, scope, and topics of the workshop.
  2. Names, affiliations, and short bios of the workshop organizers.
  3. Tentative committee lists (e.g., organizers, steering committee, if any).
  4. Planned workshop format (e.g., papers, demos, panels, keynotes). Please indicate whether you prefer the workshop to be full-day or half-day. If accepted, the workshop duration may be adjusted later depending on the number of submissions received.
  5. Past history of the workshop, if applicable (including where and when it was held, number of submissions and accepted papers, and approximate number of participants).
  6. Rationale: Why is the topic timely and important? Is it an emerging area? Why is the workshop expected to attract a significant number of high-quality submissions and attendees?
  7. Comparison with recent workshops (within the past two years) on related topics held at previous editions of MobiHoc or at other conferences such as INFOCOM, ICNP, MobiCom, SIGMETRICS, etc. Please explain how the proposed workshop differs from or complements those events.
  8. A draft Call for Papers (CFP) with tentative dates, if available. Please note that submission, notification, and camera-ready deadlines may need to be adjusted to align with the conference publication schedule.
  9. The dissemination plan: Describe the plan for attracting submissions and attendees, including publicity channels, target research communities, workshop website, and communication strategy.
  10. Tentative invited speakers’ information, if you plan to have invited speakers in your workshop.
  11. Attendance commitment: At least one organizer of each accepted workshop must be physically present at the event.
