CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: MobiSys 2004

The Second International Conference on
Mobile Systems, Applications, and Services

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of ACM SIGMOBILE and The USENIX Association, we invite you to join us at MobiSys 2004. Building on the success of the first MobiSys, MobiSys 2004 brings you the very latest and greatest in mobile and wireless systems research. If you are interested in this field the way we are, it will be well worth your time to see cool new ideas move from concept to reality. You can use this opportunity to establish new contacts as you meet like-minded researchers and system builders with interesting insights to share, and re-acquaint yourself with old friends. MobiSys is a highly selective conference with very good quality papers.

We received a large number of innovative and high-quality submissions from authors around the world and have put together a program of papers that is broad, lively, and full of practical value. The program covers many topics, including application longevity, behavior, adaptation, localization, sensor network applications, and a variety of interesting systems techniques for solving mobility problems.

MobiSys 2004 also features a combined poster, demo, and video session for presentation of demos and early-stage research, an evening panel session for more debate targeting the state of the art in RFID, Birds-of-a-Feather Session on PlaneLab for mobile community, and a keynote addresses by two of the luminaries in our field: Ben Shneiderman of University of Maryland and Genevieve Bell of Intel Research.

In summary, we believe MobiSys 2004 offers a productive and exciting program, and we hope you will join us June 6-9, 2004 in Boston.

Please extend our invitation to your colleagues as well.
