Submission Guidelines

Submissions for the PhD Forum should consist of the following::

  1. An extended abstract (up to 2 pages) covering central aspects of the student’s PhD work. This should include a brief discussion of motivation, objectives, challenges, background, research methods, initial results and current/future contributions. The submission is single-blind, that is, every submission must state the name and affiliation of the author on the first page.
  2. A concise biographical sketch (1 page) describing the applicant’s affiliations and research activities. This should include the the student’s dissertation status and expected completion date.
The submission format to be used should be the same format as the MobiSys 2018 conference; please refer to the MobiSys Author Guidelines. Abstracts MUST be no more than two (2) pages. This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth.
