Registration for MobiSys and all the workshops and tutorials is now open. Register by May 17th to take advantage of these early registration prices:

Workshop, Tutorial, and PhD Forum Registration
The
PhD forum registration cost is $50. All
workshops and
tutorials share the same fees. The
early registration fees are:
- ACM/SIG Member: $200
- Non-ACM/SIG Member: $250
- Student: $150
The late and onsite registration fees are:
- ACM/SIG Member: $250
- Non-ACM/SIG Member: $300
- Student: $200

MobiSys 2008 will be held at the
Beaver Run Resort. You may
make your reservations online with code MOBI7601, or you may make a reservation by phone at 800-265-3560 and identifying yourself as an ACM MobiSys attendee. Reservations made after 5/26/08 will be provided on a space-available basis. We have secured these group rates:
- Hotel Room: $119/night
- Deluxe Studio: $129/night
- One Bedroom Suite: $139/night
- Colorado Suite: $139/night
- Two Bedroom Suite: $199/night

Student & Young Researcher Travel Grants
MobiSys 2008 is pleased to provide travel support to selected graduate students and young researchers to broaden the participation in our conference. We will provide up to $750 per student to help cover the cost the student's travel, lodging, meals, and conference registration fees.
We encourage the participation from women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities. Please apply for support if you are attending the
PhD Forum, another workshop or tutorial, or if you are presenting a demo or poster. Travel support is made possible by grants from the US National Science Foundation and industrial sponsors.
Applications
Applications for the travel award should be sent electronically as a PDF attachment to the Mobisys Travel Award Committee (
mobisys2008travel@gmail.com) by May 1st, 2008. Please make sure that you receive an electronic confirmation of your submission. An application should consist of the student's CV, a letter from the student, and letter from the student's advisor. The letter from the student should include:
- A brief summary of research interests and accomplishments to date
- A description of areas reflected in the MobiSys 2008 program that would impact the student's research
- Importance of attending the conference to the student's research activities
In addition, the student's advisor should send a letter of recommendation to the committee. It should include:
- Confirmation that the student is a Ph.D. candidate in good standing
- The suitability of MobiSys 2008 program to the student's research area
- Ways in which attending the conference would benefit the particular student
- The strengths and potential contributions of the student
- The financial needs of the student in traveling to MobiSys 2008
Applications will be reviewed by the MobiSys Travel Awards Committee, and the awards will be announced prior to the conference. Alternates will be notified in the event that a recipient declines. The deadline for early registration for students applying for travel grants will be extended if necessary.
