Call for Posters
MobiSys 2017 calls for posters describing novel work not published before. Posters will be presented during a specially designated session of the conference. The poster session is meant to introduce new or ongoing work and provide opportunities for authors to interact directly with conference attendees. Posters are especially suited for presenting controversial research directions that may generate discussion, or promising ideas not yet validated through extensive evaluation.
Poster submissions must include an extended abstract no longer than one 8.5x11-inch page, including all figures and references. This abstract should be formatted in two columns, single-spaced, with a font no smaller than 10-point. The abstract title should begin with "Poster:". Easels will be provided at the conference for 3x4 feet posters (approximately 0.75x1.0 meters), and the posters should be sized appropriately. Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format. Please do not anonymize your submissions. Poster proposals should be submitted through the following URL: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acmmobisys2017poster
Please use this LaTeX template (the same as the one for full papers at Mobisys’17) that is known to comply with the formatting requirements. Authors remain responsible for checking that their resulting PDF meets our formatting guidelines.
The abstracts of accepted posters will be posted on the conference website and will appear in the conference proceedings. At least one author of an accepted poster is expected to register for the conference and present the poster in person.
Call for Demos
MobiSys 2017 seeks proposals for live demos of mobile computing technologies. Research prototypes as well as commercial products are welcome. However, MobiSys is not an appropriate forum for marketing or sales presentations. The presenter is expected to understand the system being demonstrated and explain the technical contributions of the system to the audience. Note that unlike posters, demos of previously published systems are welcome. Demos will be selected based on the expected interest from the MobiSys audience.
A demo submission requires an extended abstract no longer than one 8.5x11-inch page, including all figures and references, describing the demo as well as any special requirements (other than a demo booth/table). The extended abstract should be formatted in two columns, single-spaced, with a font no smaller than 10-point. The demo title should begin with "Demo:". Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format. Please do not anonymize your submissions. Demo proposals should be submitted through the following URL: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acmmobisys2017demo
Please use this LaTeX template (the same as the one for full papers at Mobisys’17) that is known to comply with the formatting requirements. Authors remain responsible for checking that their resulting PDF meets our formatting guidelines.
Demo submissions are encouraged to submit an optional companion video showcasing their demo. Video clips should highlight the technical contributions of the demo and be no more than 90 seconds in length. Demo video clips will be posted on the conference website. Videos can be submitted by including a link to the video along with the extended abstract submission.
The abstracts of accepted demonstrations will be posted on the conference website and will appear in the conference proceedings. At least one author of an accepted demo is expected to register for the conference and demonstrate the system in person.
Best Poster and Demo
All posters will be considered for the best poster award and all demos will be considered for the best demo award. An independent review committee will select the winners at the conference.
