Remote Participation
Remote participation will be possible through two alternative ways – Gather.town (desktop/laptop-type device recommended for this) and Zoom (will work with a mobile device too).
The committee strongly recommends the use of Gather.town to get the full conference experience, and to be able to interact with other participants. Note that the social events are only possible and accessible via Gather.town. Further, you can also participate via the conference Slack channels. When you join Slack, you have the option to join the various channels. There is a separate channel for every session, along with others for general use, technical support, and more.
You can download the Gather.town desktop app, which supports both Mac and Windows machines, here.

You will receive links to Gather.town, Zoom, and Slack via email from the MobiSys registration account ( reg.mobisys21@gmail.com ). Please check your spam folder if you do not see it. This was sent out on June 21, 2021.
As soon as possible, please do the following:

Join Slack. In Slack after you join, please update your profile name as Full Name (Affiliation), join the session channels you are interested in.

Check out our Gather.town space and familiarize yourself with the space.

Download the Zoom app on your device and familiarize yourself.
Before session start:
Join Gather.town (preferred mode)

Go to the Auditorium, find a seat, check/chat with others near you.

Press x to see the live stream, if available. Or just wait for the session to be broadcasted in the room.
Alternatively, if you do not want to use Gather.town, you can also join via Zoom directly.

Type your question(s) in the session’s Slack channel. This is likely the easier mode for communicating questions.
Live Q&A
If in Gather.town, Auditorium room, stand on a blue call logo on the aisle , Press x to join the Zoom meeting. Once in Zoom, mute your microphone, post a message to the chat window to indicate that you have a question, then wait for the Session chair to call on you.
Session end:

If in Zoom, exit Zoom call and return to Gather.town for social interactions.
