ACM MobiSys 2021 Student Mentorship Program

This is your chance to meet the person whose work you follow and discuss research with them! The mentorship meetups will run a week before the conference (from June 18 to 24). During the conference (June 24th to July 2nd) we will host other events for students.

Program Details

Wednesday 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM (US Eastern Time) Student Research Meet 1, GatherTown breakout rooms

Thursday 11.00 AM to 12.00 Noon (US Eastern Time) Student Research Meet 2, GatherTown breakout rooms

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday sessions

In addition to the scheduled student meets, we’ll run a number of informal “debriefing sessions”, like informal chats where you might discuss with your advisors how you find the conference, etc. Here are the times (all US Eastern Time):

These will be held in the auditorium, and we’ll set up a number of broadcast areas in the room. Please go to those areas to speak.

We will send further announcements on Slack nearer the time.

The sponsors (e.g., Google, Microsoft) will hold sessions for students to go and talk to. These will be announced on the slack channel.

ACM MobiSys 2021 is calling for applications for this year’s student mentorship program & conference grant.

The application deadline is May 31st 2021.

Student Conference Grant

Generous conference grants are available for students to cover the conference registration. Please use the same form above to indicate whether you’d like to be considered for this grant. Decisions will be announced a week after the application deadline. Student grant awardees will be provided with free registration codes.

Apart from the student conference grant, those who are eligible can also apply for the ACM MobiSys N2Women Fellowship. Please visit https://n2women.comsoc.org/fellowships/ for more details.

You need to register for ACM MobiSys to participate in the mentorship program. However, please do not register before hearing back about the student grant, because reimbursement will be harder.
