Upcoming SIG Events

• ACM MobiSys 2018 will be held in Munich Germany together with an Internet-of-Things day. 139 submissions were received and are currently under review.
• ACM MobiCom 2018 will be held in New Delhi, India. 187 submissions have been received and are now under review.
• ACM UbiComp 2018 will be held in Singapore in September 2018.
• ACM SenSys 2018 will be held in November in Shenzhen, China. 147 submissions have been received and are under review.

SIG News

• ACM has named Dina Katabi of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) the recipient of the 2017 ACM Prize in Computing, recognizing her creative contributions to wireless systems. Congratulations to Dina!

• SIGMOBILE 2018 Outstanding Contribution Award goes to Teresa Meng for the groundbreaking research, engineering, and entrepreneurial leadership to make Wi-Fi faster, lower power, and lower cost. This award is the highest honor the SIGMOBILE community bestows on an individual. The award will be presented during the opening ceremony of MobiCom 2018. Congratulations to Teresa!

• The 2018 winner of SIGMOBILE Rockstar Award is Kyle Jamieson of Princeton in recognition of his outstanding early-career contributions and impact in the field of wireless computer networks. The award is our community's acknowledgement of the depth, impact, and novelty of Kyle's research. The award will be presented at an upcoming SIGMOBILE conference. Congratulations to Kyle!

• The committee of SIGMOBILE Doctoral Dissertation Award announced Fadel Adib’s dissertation titled “Wireless Systems that Extends Our Senses” as this year’s winner. Well done Fadel and congratulations!
